Our clients are renowned island resorts – one in the Whitsundays and one in Cairns; with multiple restaurants and bars on site. With world class service coupled with million-dollar accommodation and facilities, you will be part of a superstar team who will deliver personalized and extraordinary experience for clienteles.
The roles are:
1 CDP for staff kitchen doing bulk production – buffet style for all live on staff
1 CDP for ala carte restaurant *5 star experience
To be successful in this role you will be trade qualified in Certificate III (Commercial Cookery) with A la carte knowledge and excellent Food Safety and HACCP principles.
You will have the appreciation of delivering an outstanding dining experience, a creative flair which allows you to experiment with new techniques, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills.
The successful applicants will have a passion for cooking & take pride in their work & enjoy being part of the team.
This is a live on position with board and lodging at a subsidized rate with food and uniforms included.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualifications are essential
- Experience and confidence in all sections of the kitchen
- Excellent communication and be able to work well in a team
- Experience within Lunch & Dinner service
- Strong WH&S and food safety awareness
- Longevity in past roles
- A genuine passion for your trade
- Must be happy to live on Island
