We are hiring multiple positions for a client up at Port Douglas! If you are someone who wants a new adventure and be part of a superstar team who aims to be one of the best in the region, this position is for you.

Our client is a casual restaurant and bar nestled in the tropical oasis. Through flavours of local food, your team will deliver high standard food creations and to be complemented with personalized and customer focused front of house service.

We are looking for:

Sous Chef

Qualified Chef

To be successful in this role:

You will be trade qualified in Certificate III (Commercial Cookery) with pub style knowledge and excellent Food Safety and HACCP principles.

You will have the appreciation of delivering an outstanding dining experience, a creative flair which allows you to experiment with new techniques, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills.    The successful applicants will have a passion for cooking & take pride in their work & enjoy being part of the team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Trade qualifications are essential
Experience and confidence in all sections of the kitchen

Live cooking (for some of roles) is desired
Excellent communication and be able to work well in a team
Experience within Lunch & Dinner service

Strong WH&S and food safety awareness
Longevity in past roles

A genuine passion for your trade
