Temporary and Permanent Chefs – Island Live On Roles

We are hiring multiple positions for a client down at the Whitsundays most pristine beaches. Our clients are a renowned island resort with multiple restaurants and bars on site. With world class service coupled with million-dollar accommodation and facilities, you will be part of a superstar team who will deliver personalized and extraordinary experience for clients.

Through flavours of local and international cuisines, your team will deliver high standard food creations to be complemented with personalized and customer focused front of house service.

 

We are looking for:

 

Chef De Partie x 2

Commi Chefs x 2

 

To be successful in this role:

You will be trade qualified with a Certificate III in (Commercial Cookery) with A la carte knowledge and excellent Food Safety and HACCP principles. You will have the appreciation of delivering an outstanding dining experience, a creative flair which allows you to experiment with new techniques, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills. The successful applicants will have a passion for cooking and take pride in their work and enjoy being part of the team. These are live on positions with board and lodging at a subsidized rate with meals included. Leadership roles may get free accommodation.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


Trade qualifications are essential
Experience and confidence in all sections of the kitchen

Live cooking (for some of the roles) is desired
Excellent communication and the ability to work well in a team
Experience within Lunch and Dinner service

Strong WH&S and food safety awareness
Longevity in past roles

A genuine passion for your trade

Must be happy to live on an Island
